I am Lucy Pesek, and the purpose of me writing this to you is simple: I want everyone in Benton County to truly consider voting for my dad, John Pesek, as your next Circuit Court Judge.

 

I know I might not be able to change every mind, but if you take just a moment to read this, I think you’ll understand why he’s the right person for the job.

John Pesek—also known to me as “Dad”—is one of the most dedicated and hardworking people I’ve ever known. He spends his days giving his all to his job, and still comes home with the energy and love to support his family. Whether it's helping with homework, cooking dinner, or simply listening when we need to talk, he’s always there. And he doesn’t stop until the job is done—not halfway, not almost, but completely. That kind of follow-through is exactly what Benton County needs.

He's not just hard-working, he's dependable. He doesn’t procrastinate or push things aside—he gets things done with purpose and care. In a world where so many leaders make excuses, my dad takes responsibility. He knows that leadership means showing up, staying steady, and staying honest—even when it’s hard.

Of course, no one is perfect. My dad has made mistakes like everyone else, but what makes him different is how he handles them. He doesn’t let failures define him—instead, he learns, adjusts, and keeps moving forward with integrity. That’s the kind of mindset you want in a judge, someone who won’t give up, who won’t fold under pressure, and who will always strive to do what’s right.

And when it comes to fairness, my dad lives it every single day. I’ve seen it firsthand. When my sister and I argue (which happens more than you might think), he never picks sides too quickly. He listens to both of us, considers what’s fair, and makes decisions that are not only reasonable, but thoughtful. That same mindset—of listening carefully, judging fairly, and choosing wisely—is exactly what he would bring to the position of Circuit Judge.

So if you’re still undecided, I hope this gives you a glimpse of the kind of person my dad really is. He’s not running for this position for power or recognition. He’s running because he truly cares—about people, about our community, and about making a difference.
